Rotation Schedule

Start Time: Varies per day

  • Hospital Rounds (3-4 days a week):
    • 9:00 AM – 2:00/3:00 PM (depending on patient census).
    • Interact with residents, nurses, and faculty to manage patient care.
  • Cardiology Clinic:
    • 2-3 hours, a few times a week at the hospital or in the community.
  • Optional Saturday Hours: Available based on student interest and attending physician’s schedule.

Learning Opportunities

  • Gain hands-on experience in managing cardiology patients, including performing detailed history taking, physical examination, and reviewing labs.
  • Exposure to EKG, Holter, Echo, and Stress Test rooms.
  • Participate in differential diagnosis formulation, treatment plans, and follow-up care under the guidance of the attending cardiologist.
  • Learn discharge planning and patient management in a real-world clinical environment.
  • Interact with a diverse patient population, gaining insights into the US clinical system.
  • Learn about cardiology and related subspecialties, assisting in a variety of procedures.

Payment Policy

  • Secure your slot with either full or partial payment (50%).
  • Full payment is due 6 weeks before the start date.
  • No rescheduling fee if done one month in advance.
  • Cancellations:
  • 50% refund for cancellations made 4+ weeks before the start date.
  • No refunds for cancellations within 4 weeks of the start date.
