It provides an opportunity to manage a wide range of conditions in a setting affiliated with the University of Chicago Medical Center.
Key Features
LOR: Performance-based, provided on Hospital Letterhead by attending physicians.
Rotation Schedule:
- Daily Rounds: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Optional Saturday hours available based on interest
- Times are subject to change based on the attending physician’s schedule
Learning Opportunities
Clinical Skills
- Perform detailed history taking and physical examinations.
- Check labs, patient notes, and formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Manage patients with ARF, CRF, ESRD requiring dialysis, acid-base imbalances, and fluid/electrolyte disorders.
Diverse Patient Care
- Treat ICU and in-patients with internal medicine and nephrology conditions.
- Attend CKD and hypertension clinics as part of the rotation.
Team Integration
- Collaborate with residents, fellows, nurses, and subspecialists to provide holistic patient care.
- Participate in discharge planning and patient follow-ups.
- Engage in didactics, lectures, and grand rounds.

Payment Policy
- Secure your slot with either full or partial payment (50%).
- Full payment is due 6 weeks before the start date.
- Cancellations:
- 50% refund for cancellations made 4+ weeks before the start date.
- No refunds for cancellations within 4 weeks of the start date.
- No rescheduling fee if done one month in advance.
