Texas Internal Medicine and Cardiology Hospital-based Rotation

Rotation Schedule

Monday – Friday:

  • 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Pre-rounds on all patients
  • 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (or 4:00 PM): Team rounds, patient assessments, and discussions
  • Exposure to procedures such as stress echo lab, stress testing, and cardiac catheterization
    Saturday/Sunday: Optional (based on attending’s availability and student’s interest)

Learning Opportunities

  • Hands-on clinical experience in Cardiology and Internal Medicine
  • Participate in daily hospital rounds in various units, including ICU, CCU, and the Cardiac Cath Centre
  • Gain exposure to diagnostic procedures and treatment planning under the guidance of attending physicians
  • Training in EMR systems and the practical aspects of practicing medicine in the US healthcare system
  • Participate in didactics, lectures, and grand rounds

Payment Policy

  • Secure your slot with either full or partial payment (50%)
  • Full payment is due 6 weeks before the start date
  • No rescheduling fee if done one month in advance
  • Cancellations:
    • 50% refund for cancellations made 4+ weeks before the start date
    • No refunds for cancellations within 4 weeks of the start date
