What to Expect

This urology rotation includes:

Surgical Observations

  • Procedures: Witness advanced urological surgeries including cystoscopy, TURP (transurethral resection of the prostate), lithotripsy, prostatectomy, and minimally invasive robotic surgeries.

Clinical Diagnostics

  • Common Conditions: Learn to assess and manage conditions like kidney stones, urinary incontinence, male infertility, and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
  • Hands-on Training: Assist with diagnostic procedures like uroflowmetry, PSA testing, and imaging evaluations such as renal ultrasounds and CT scans.

Pre- and Post-Operative Care

  • Patient Management: Participate in the management of urological patients from the initial consultation to post-surgical follow-ups.
