Monday – Friday | Hospital-Based Clinical Schedule
Pre-Rounds
Review inpatient charts, vital signs, laboratory results, imaging, medications, and consultant recommendations
Prepare patient presentations and identify active medical problems
Inpatient Rounds
Observe and participate in the care of hospitalized adult patients under physician supervision
Present and discuss patient histories, clinical findings, laboratory abnormalities, and assessment plans
Follow patients through their hospital course and observe daily management decisions
Exposure to multidisciplinary communication and coordination of inpatient care
Post-Rounds
Case discussions and clinical teaching focused on differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, and evidence-based management
Review of laboratory and imaging findings
Clinical documentation, progress notes, discharge planning, and transitions of care
