Monday – Friday | Hospital-Based Clinical Schedule
Pre-Rounds
Review patient charts, vital signs, laboratory results, imaging, and clinical notes
Prepare patient presentations and identify active clinical problems
Inpatient Rounds
Observe and participate in inpatient pediatric patient care under physician supervision
Follow the clinical course of admitted patients and discuss assessment and management plans
Exposure to communication and coordination with nursing and other healthcare professionals
Observe evaluation of common acute and chronic pediatric conditions
Post-Rounds
Case discussions focusing on pediatric assessment, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical reasoning
Review of relevant laboratory and imaging findings
Clinical documentation and discussion of patient progress and discharge planning
