Radiology Rotation Details
Duration: 4 Weeks
Rotation Setting & Format
Schedule: Monday to Friday, typically 09:00 AM – 03:00 PM
Morning
Diagnostic reading sessions — X-rays, CT scans, MRIs with attending radiologists. Case review and interpretation training.
Afternoon
Interventional radiology procedures — observe/assist in vascular interventions, catheter placements, embolization procedures, and other IR cases.
Weekly
Outpatient radiology center exposure — learn workflow in outpatient imaging setting alongside hospital-based diagnostics.
Imaging Modalities & Procedures
Diagnostic Imaging: X-rays CT Scans MRI Ultrasound Fluoroscopy
Interventional Radiology: Vascular interventions (stenting/dilatation for PVD), central access/catheter placements, arterial embolization, angiography, biopsy procedures under image guidance.
Hybrid Experience: Combination of inpatient hospital work and outpatient radiology center exposure.
Learning Objectives
Learn to assess and interpret diagnostic imaging studies (X-rays, CTs, MRIs) in clinical context.
Gain exposure to interventional radiology procedures under supervision.
Participate in both inpatient and outpatient radiology workflow.
Engage with attending radiologists (including interventional) for mentorship and possible research opportunities.
Payment Policy
