Rotation Details
Duration: 4 Weeks
Rotation Schedule
Start Time: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (varies based on attending's schedule)
Outpatient Exposure
• Participate in primary care consultations for adults with diverse medical conditions
• Take patient histories, conduct physical exams, and present cases
• Learn chronic disease management (hypertension, diabetes, COPD, hyperlipidemia)
• Preventive medicine focus: wellness exams, screenings, vaccinations, lifestyle counseling
• EMR training and supervised documentation
Inpatient Exposure
• Hospital visits/rounds at affiliated hospitals with the attending physician
• Observe inpatient internal medicine consults and acute patient management
• Exposure to transitional care planning
Academic & Mentorship
• Weekly case-based teaching sessions with attending physicians
• Topic-based discussions in Internal Medicine (cardiology, nephrology, infectious diseases, etc.)
• Feedback on presentations, assessments, and clinical note writing

Weekend Opportunities
• Optional Saturday community health clinics (based on schedule)
