Our Systematic Review Module is an intensive 10-week program designed for medical students and graduates who want to gain advanced research skills and contribute meaningfully to academic literature.

What to Expect
• Expert Mentorship: Work under the close supervision of a seasoned research mentor with a strong track record in systematic reviews. Each group is limited to around 10 participants to foster collaboration and ensure personalized guidance.
• Weekly Live Sessions: Sessions are hosted weekly via Microsoft Teams. Timing is determined based on the collective availability of enrolled mentees to support global participation.

Curriculum Highlights

Throughout this 10-week program, you’ll gain practical skills in conducting a high-quality systematic review from start to finish:
• Formulating a focused research question using the PICO framework
• Developing and registering a systematic review protocol (e.g., on PROSPERO)
• Performing comprehensive literature searches in databases like PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library
• Screening studies with clear inclusion/exclusion criteria
• Extracting data using structured, replicable templates
• Assessing study quality and risk of bias using validated tools
• Writing and organizing the final manuscript for peer-reviewed publication

Your Role & Authorship

Each mentee will actively contribute to every step of the project. Weekly assignments are designed to offer hands-on experience in screening, analysis, and writing.

Authorship will be awarded based on consistent participation and quality of contributions — ensuring credit is given where it’s due.
