Code of Conduct

At IMG Helping Hands, we are committed to fostering a respectful, safe, inclusive, and professional environment for all participants, mentors, staff, and collaborators. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behavior expected across our mentorship programs, research modules, clinical rotations, webinars, and community spaces.
1. Respect & Professionalism
- Treat all mentors, peers, coordinators, and staff with courtesy and respect.
- We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, bullying, or offensive behavior on the basis of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, age, disability, or any other characteristic.
- Maintain professionalism in all communications, both online and offline.
2. Academic Integrity
- All research and academic work must be conducted with honesty and integrity.
- Plagiarism, data falsification, or misrepresentation of authorship will not be tolerated.
- Participants are responsible for originality when using AI-based editing tools.
3. Confidentiality & Privacy
- Respect confidentiality in all mentorship, clinical, and research settings.
- Do not disclose patient information (HIPAA compliance) or private participant/mentor information without consent.
- Do not share or publish course materials, recordings, or proprietary resources without authorization.
4. Service-Specific Guidelines
- Residency Materials: Guides, manuals, and sample answers are for educational purposes only and may include fictional examples. They do not guarantee residency placement.
- Consultations with MDs: Provided for career navigation and residency match guidance only — not medical advice.
- Limited License Consultancy: General advisory only; no guarantee of license approval or employment.
- Webinars & Guest Sessions: Guest speakers are independent professionals. Unless stated, IMG Helping Hands has no formal association with them. Their views are their own.
- Clinical Rotations: Participation requires compliance with hosting institutions. LORs are at the sole discretion of supervising physicians.
5. Digital Platforms & Community
- Use IMG Helping Hands’ digital spaces responsibly (LMS, WhatsApp/Telegram, forums).
- No spam, harassment, or misuse of discussion groups.
- Be constructive and respectful in peer-to-peer exchanges.

7. Consequences of Misconduct
Violations of this Code may result in:

- Removal from a program or rotation without refund.
- Suspension or permanent termination of services.
- Reporting of severe violations to partner institutions or relevant authorities.
