What to Expect

Mentorship

You will be guided by an experienced research mentor with proven expertise in conducting and publishing systematic reviews. Each batch includes up to 10 mentees to ensure personalized attention, teamwork, and a supportive learning environment.

Weekly Online Sessions

Live interactive sessions will be held weekly via Microsoft Teams or Zoom. The timing of sessions will be finalized based on the collective availability of enrolled participants to accommodate different time zones and schedules.

Curriculum Highlights

Over the span of 10 weeks, you will master the end-to-end process of conducting a systematic review, including:

  • Formulating a focused research question using the PICO/PECO framework
  • Developing and registering a research protocol (e.g., on PROSPERO)
  • Conducting a comprehensive literature search across major databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, etc.)
  • Screening studies and applying inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Extracting and organizing data using standardized templates
  • Assessing study quality and risk of bias using tools such as AMSTAR, ROB 2, or Cochrane Risk of Bias
  • Structuring and writing the final manuscript in alignment with PRISMA guidelines

Tasks and Contribution

Each week, participants will complete structured assignments designed to reinforce core concepts and ensure active engagement at every stage of the review process.

Your contributions will directly impact the project's progress and quality.

Authorship order will be assigned based on the extent and consistency of participation, ensuring transparency and fair recognition for all mentees.

Disclaimer

While our team provides comprehensive mentorship, guidance, and editorial support throughout the research process, publication cannot be guaranteed.

We aim to support mentees in preparing manuscripts suitable for submission to PubMed-indexed or peer-reviewed journals, but the final decision on acceptance lies entirely with the journal's editorial board.

Publication success depends on multiple factors, including the quality of the project, adherence to deadlines, and the level of individual contribution during the module.

Talk to a real physician,
not an AI.

Our coordinators personally review your profile and help you choose the right U.S. clinical rotation!

US residency programs now require at least 3 letter of recommendations from US based physicians.

Most IMGs do not fulfill this requirement because they end up wasting time in cold emailing or they make wrong and expensive rotation choices.
