DELAWARE CLINICAL ROTATION BY IMG HELPING HANDS

IMG HELPING HANDS now offers hands-on Electives/Externship programs in:

  • Family Medicine
  • Internal Medicine
  • Pediatrics

We have launched our unique electives/externship program to help all medical students and graduates so they could join from any part of the world and train themselves in the American healthcare system.

  A. Electives/Externship program: 

Dr. Qayyum Nazar

MD, Internal Medicine (ABIM) and Pediatrics (ABP).

Dr. Qayyum Nazar, MD, is a Pediatrics (ABP) in Delaware. He currently practices at Premiere Physicians and is affiliated with Reliance Walk-in

Medical. Dr. Qayyum Nazar has more than 20 years of experience as an internist, pediatrician and pediatric hospitalist in both clinic and hospital settings. Dr. Qayyum Nazar (ABP), is a US-licensed physician who was affiliated with New York Medical College at St Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York. He believes in promoting medical education and teaching medical students, young physicians who are applying for residency. His unique way of teaching by externship program is outstanding.

Dr. Yasmin Chaudhary

MD, Family Medicine (ABFM),

Dr. Yasmin A. Chaudhry ) is a family medicine doctor in Bear, Delaware. She received her medical degree from King Edward Medical University and has been in practice for more than 20 years.

Mission:

The goal is to provide everyone with exposure to the US health system and refine their clinical skills. Our mission is to promote education and training by establishing a unique approach. Through a single sign-on platform that is HIPAA compliant, users have access to an interactive live e-learning experience that simulates the in-presence observer experience.

  B. Program Overview:

This program provides real-time case management discussions with the medical team and trains them to take a medical history and case presentations.

Additionally, you will be taught EKG and X-ray interpretation. The participant will also be allowed to ask questions and offer opinions.

Medical Mission opportunities with a team of US doctors and nurses to countries such as Haiti, Ghana, Nigeria, the Dominican Republic, and the Caribbean islands.  Personalized Letter of Recommendation (LORs will be on merit)

    E. Length of program:

  • 4 Weeks
  • 8 Weeks

Eligible Candidates:

Best suited for medical students in their 3rd or 4th year, medical graduates & candidates applying in the residency programs. The externship can only be continued if the candidate’s performance is up to the mark.

    F. How you are evaluated:

Trainees participating in Hands on electives/ Externship will be evaluated based on medical knowledge, professionalism and based on the ACGME competencies i.e

Patient Care

Medical Knowledge

Practice-Based Learning and Improvement

Interpersonal and Communications Skills and Professionalism  Systems-Based Practice.

    H. Duty Hours:

Electives/Externship will be 35-40 hours per week. The program schedule is:

Monday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. EST/EDT

Tuesday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. EST/EDT

Wednesday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. EST/EDT

Thursday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. EST/EDT

Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. EST/EDT

    I. Documents Required:

International Medical Students/Graduates must submit a copy of the following documents:

Current Resume/CV

USMLE Step reports (If any, but not mandatory)

Medical diploma (If any)

ECFMG certificate (If any, but not mandatory)

COVID-19 vaccination proof

Government-issued photo ID (passport/driver’s license)

Current visa or valid U.S. entry status(not required for virtual externship)
